Ask Yourself: “One Good Thing…”

Today’s Ask Yourself question is a hit with my students, and hopefully you too:

What’s one good thing that will happen this week?

Of course, we can’t predict the future, not completely.  Much of what lies ahead of us is not in our control.  But we can be intentional and choose to direct ourselves, and to the degree we can do that we can strive to do good things.

This prompt encourages you to look ahead - not too far, but just a little bit further down the road than today’s task list - and give you a chance to set in motion the steps that will get you to that good place at the end of the week.
