Practice Details: How We Work With You
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if counseling or assessment is right for me?
Contact us for a free, no-obligation, 30-minute consultation, which allows all parties to ask questions and assess fit before deciding to establish a therapeutic relationship. You don’t have to have all the answers or ask all the right questions yet. You don’t have to feel “ready” or wait until there’s a crisis. Reach out and let’s start wherever you’re at. We are dedicated to ensuring you work with a practice you can trust to address your unique challenges, even if that isn’t us.
How much do you charge?
Initial diagnostic evaluation: $240 (60 minutes)
One-on-one psychotherapy sessions: $200 (60 minutes)
Couples psychotherapy sessions: $225 (60 minutes)
Telephone conversations, site visits, writing and reading of reports, consultation with other professionals, release of information, reading records, longer sessions, travel time, etc.: $200 per hour (pro-rated to the nearest 15 minute interval)
Group sessions and assessments vary in pricing; please contact us to discuss. Sliding scale available in cases of significant financial hardship.
How do you take payment? Can I use my health insurance?
We accept payment directly from clients only - cash, check, or credit card. We do not bill to or accept payment from third-party payers. Our philosophy is to empower clients to manage their own care and make their own informed treatment decisions. You may elect to seek reimbursement from insurance if you so choose. Please be aware that disclosure of confidential information may be required by your third-party payer in order to process claims.
Where do you work?
Currently, all counseling appointments are held virtually at Doxy.Me. As guidance and regulations on health precautions evolve, and when it is deemed safe and appropriate to hold in-person sessions, we will discuss options with clients.
In-person sessions are held in Center City Philadelphia near historic Rittenhouse Square, convenient to mass transit.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults of all ages around a wide range of psychological issues and life circumstances. My specialization is working with individuals who seek extra support and insights in navigating ecosystems where decisions carry particular complexity and salience- educational settings, business and industry, healthcare delivery, families, and management circles.
As a psychologist licensed in Pennsylvania, I work with clients in person in our Philadelphia location, and via telehealth if they are physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of the session.
